January Craft Day

At our recent Craft Day we had 38 people through the door.  Activities ranged from needle felting an entire flock of sheep (by the end of the day), knitting everlasting Christmas crackers for next year to keep down the litter and waste of traditional crackers, lots of patchwork and needlework, crochet lessons, ceramic tile painting, someone upholstering a chair, weaving, wool spinning on a wheel and more.  The secret is that you bring what you like to do and are prepared to share, explain or let others have a go.

Lunch was delicious butternut soup (thank you Jenny Smart), Harriette’s leek and potato soup (as requested by Alice who made the yummy blackberry crumble cake and brought along the teas and coffee) homemade bread, gluten free and vegan cakes and options as well as a range of cheeses and fruit.  Thank you too to those who provided cakes.

We are looking forward to the next Craft Days on Tuesday 28th January and then Monday 17th February.  Again, they will be from 10-4pm and cost £6.00 including lunch.  Please could you let Harriette know by Saturday 25th if you are coming to the Tuesday event so that she can cater appropriately?

Thank you again for all your help, bringing your amazing creations and being such helpful and friendly people.  It is a real pleasure to be hosting these events.
